A new study, published online on July 13 in Current Biology, reports that increased levels of this drug results in an optimism bias, such as making you believe you will get that job you applied for, and that you will marry that person you just met. The findings represent the "first evidence that the neuromodulator dopamine impacts on belief formation by reducing negative expectations regarding the future", according to the report.
